Besides the main character, Caim and his pact-beast Red-Dragon; you can use different allies in battle only during Ground Missions, however you need to complete certain prerequisites in order to use different allies in battle. In total there are Three allies, each having their own pact-beast and weapon. Similiar to Caim, they can also use their pact-beast in battle. They also have their own unique storyline chapter. When chosen, each Ally has a specific amount of HP that slowly decreases, and an unlimited amount of MP from their Pact-Partner. Once they run out of HP, they leave, returning to your base character, Caim. During any mission, you can only switch to an allied character three times (3 times). To add them to your missions, when the verse starts, select allies and then select the allies you wish to bring.
Pact Price : Sight
To obtain Leonard, complete Chapter 2, then revisit Chapter 2, and complete the requirements for Verse V and IX. You'll be taken to more Roman numeral verses, until verse XIV. After you've completed verse XIV go back to Chapter 2 and select verse V. When given the option, choose to go to the Forest of the Seal. When you do so you'll be taken to the beginning of Leonard's Regret, Leonard's side chapter (which is chronologically between Chapters 2 and 3). If you choose not go to the Forest of the Seal you'll still have access to Leonard's Regret, you'll just have to choose to go there yourself from the Chapter selection screen.
Pact Price : Womb
To recieve Arioch as a Allied Character, complete chapter 3, then revisit chapter 3, complete the requirements for Verse IV and IX. After you do so you'll continue on until verse XV. When you're done, instead of continuing on to chapter 4, go back to Chapter 3 and select verse IV. When given the option choose to go to the Temple of the Sea in order to start Arioch's Regret, Arioch's side chapter (which is chronologically between Chapters 3 and 4), or if you'd like, select Temple of the Desert, which will take you to Chapter 3 verse 4. Whichever you choose, you'll still have access to Arioch's Regret, but selecting The Temple of the Sea is preferred.
Pact Price : Time
For Seere to become an Allied Character, you have to have obtained Leonard and Arioch as allied characters previously. Complete chapter 3, then revisit chapter 3, complete the requirements for Verse VI and X. After doing so select verse X and you'll go on through verse XII. Again, instead of going to chapter 5 go back and check your Chapter 4 verses again and select verse VI. When given the choice, go to the valley and you'll begin Seere's Prayer, Seere's side chapter, which is chronologically between Chapters 4 and 5.
