In Final Fantasy X, most Overdrives for Characters are usually straightforward; i.e.(Wakka's Reels, Lulu's Black Magic etc.) However, Rikku's Overdrive is far more unpredictable. Rikku's Overdrive is called Mix, in which Rikku Gains the ability to combine any two items and combine them for any result, be it curative or destructive. This inculdes all types of items, Potion, Hi-Potion or even a item like Grenades. Each result requires a two-item combination and each result depends on each item. Usage of the same item does not create a result of the two items combined. As well, usage of an item that has a similiar effect in replacement to another inflicts a seperate and different effect. Each item and another different item has seperate combinations, which allows Rikku to have almost an infinite ammount of combinations that range in effect allowing Rikku's Overdrive to be one of the best out of the playable characters in Final Fantasy X.

When first getting Rikku on your arsenal for your complete team, it would be recomended that you regularly try combinations that have different effects, and remember it for your future use. Some combinations could backfire on your party. Since Rikku's Overdrive provides a emphasis on items, this puts into perspective the important rule of gathering items in Final Fantasy X.
