Once the end of the world and the WEAPONS begin roaming the world, a man who is content with life and lives in Kalm will begin regretting his life and all of the things he hasn't done. So he'll ask for your help. There are three items he's looking for. The Earth Harp, Desert Rose and the Guide Book. These items are all obtainable from enemies and they are give you a special prize in the end.

The Earth Harp is obtained once you defeat Emerald WEAPON, the Kalm Traveler will give you the Master Magic, Master Command and Master Summon Materias, which allows you to cast all of the magic, use all of the commands and summon every single summon. Next is the Desert Rose, which is obtained by defeating Ruby WEAPON, and the prize is a Gold Chocobo. The final item is the Guide Book located in the Underwater Reactor (Junon). Morph a creature called the Ghost Ship and bring the item back to him and he'll give you the Underwater Materia, an important part in fighting Emerald WEAPON.
