Some Materia in Final Fantasy VII are obtained differently, In the Final Fantasy VII World, the Materia Caves are the location for unique and rare Materia. To obtain them, you need to breed special Chocobos in order to reach them, since the Highwind and other transportation methods cannot reach the Materia Caves. In total, there are four different Materia Caves, and of course, four different rare Materia.

Located East of the Chocobo Ranch to the tip of a Island, the cave is on the north side of this said Island. To access this Materia Cave, you require either a Green or Blue Chobobo.

Minic, is a very important and vital materia, you can locate this on the island of Wutai. Requires you to have raised and breed enough to have your own Green Chocobo.

In this Materia Cave you'll find the Knights Of the Round Materia, you can't access this cave without the Gold Chocobo, and the Cave itself is located northeast part of the world. The 'Round Island' is the Cave's materia.
