Valkyrie Profile Lenneth is the re-release of the Enix and Tri-Ace title Valkyrie Profile. The re-release title named as 'Lenneth' is due to the re-seller prices on ebay (Online Auction Site). Since the release of the original Valkyrie Profile followed the release of The PlayStation 2, the sales were suprisingly low. Thus many North American copies are rare to find and have gone up to the 100-150 USD price range. Since the release of the prequel-sequel to Valkyrie Profile, dubbed Valkyrie Profile 2 Silmeria, the release of Valkyrie Profile Lenneth was done specifically for North American fans to re-experience Valkyrie Profile on the PlayStation Portable with minor changes to allow the prequel Silmeria to make better sense, as well to prepare fans for the game.

There were a number of minor changes to the game, the obvious being the cinematics. The original Valkyrie Profile had Anime-style cutscenes, while Lenneth, the PSP remake contains high quality Full Motion Video Cinematics. Other minor changes inculde the alteration of several scene dialogues, which are to make the prequel, Silmeria, make more sense and connect to Lenneth's story.
